I really suck at keeping things going.

But Films About Ghosts is as alive as ever with everyone finishing another year of school and not working so much. We are playing two shows next weekend. On Friday, May 17th we’ll be playing at allaboutrecords in Taunton, MA and on Saturday, May 18th we’ll be playing at Simon’s 677 in Providence, RI with You Me And Everyone We Know and Squid The Whale. Come to either, come to neither, come to both.

It’s proven to be pretty difficult to figure out a way to effectively release our album. It’s been over a year since we started working on it and probably six months since we finished and the motivation just hasn’t been there. We are getting there, though. And we are getting ready to work on some new songs as well so we might be able to get something going here.

with our new friends in Grandview. January 25th at PVD Social Club. It’s $10 at the door so come hang out and enjoy some music and such.

Also. our album art is nearing completion. Once that’s done we’ll figure out an exact release date and we’ll put the track listing and maybe some new songs up here. We’ll see what happens with that I guess.

We keep setting a timeline for ourselves and then falling off of the timeline, but right now we’re looking at possibly the end of February more likely sometime in March.

we released our Split EP with Any Other Word. At the time we were really excited about it and really proud of it. We thought we were doing something cool and original and making good music and I still think we are, but I just don’t feel like that EP does us much justice any more. We’re so much better than that now and I can’t wait to finish and put out the full length we’re working on so we can start that whole cycle over again.

We’ve got more shows coming up, too! October 19th at PVD Social Club. It’s a Halloween Show of sorts so that’ll be fun. We have tickets for $8. We also have a show with American Verse on November 28th if you like to think that far in advance. Come see us! If you need a way to get there just let us know and we’ll figure something out. We like to give rides to strangers.

We’re playing a show at PVD Social Club in Providence on September 4th. We’ll have tickets for $8. We need some people to come out and see us play. It’ll be a good time! We’ll give a ride to anyone that wants to go that lives in the general area of us or Providence.

We’ve been spending a lot of time recording and we’re about halfway done with our self-produced full length. We’ll be playing songs from it and we’ll have some updates and whatever from Nick’s home studio pretty soon when we get around to doing those kinds of things.

We’re really excited about how these songs are coming out, so keep us in the back of your mind for later this year! I promise you it’ll be some good shit.

Recording has begun. One song down.

But I’m going to try to keep this more active from now on. We’ve been working really hard on a bunch of new songs and haven’t been doing much else. We’re getting ready to record all of these new songs as a self produced full length of sorts that should be done and released by the end of the summer. We’re still working on a time frame and plans for online distribution as well as for making hard copies. All three of our songs on our split EP with Any Other Word (which you can download here) will be on it. We’re working with a much improved recording setup, so we’re pretty excited.

We also have a show tomorrow night! We’re playing at Wadsworth Wrestling Club in Franklin, Massachusetts. Come hang out with us and listen to some music and all that. We’ll be playing a brand new song and Rachel is known to give a lap dance or two after we play if any of that strikes your fancy. Ladies, come try your luck.
